Certification ensures a high level of quality

Training and support certified to DIN EN ISO 9001

The EPLAN Training Academy and the company’s technical support were both certified compliant with DIN EN ISO 9001 in early 2020. Customers benefit from the advantages of this globally recognised quality standard.

Monheim, Germany, 17 February 2020 – To start off the year, solutions provider EPLAN has achieved yet another highlight in the area of quality assurance. The EPLAN Training Academy in Germany and the company’s technical support have been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since early 2020. This means that two additional customer-related departments – along with Quality Management, which has been certified since late 2018 – have now been certified by TÜV NORD (a German inspection and product certification agency) as using proven quality management systems.

Bernd Schewior, Senior Vice President Professional Services at EPLAN, explains: “Our highest priority is providing high quality products and services, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.” EPLAN customers, particularly those who are certified to DIN ISO 9001 themselves and must ensure their suppliers comply with the same standards, now have the certainty that EPLAN’s quality management meets these standards. Schewior says, “They must no longer provide separate proof of this.”

TÜV NORD’s auditors conducted a comprehensive audit of the training services and processes at the EPLAN Training Academy and in the company’s technical support. TÜV NORD Auditor Jörn Büßen wrote in his audit summary: “The process definition is very use-oriented and contains all the relevant points that are explicitly called out for the respective processes.”

EPLAN customers thereby benefit from a guaranteed high quality of the training offerings. As Schewior explains: “With the ISO 9001 certification, we provide proof of the development and implementation of training for increasing efficiency in engineering. We are further committed to regularly adapting and optimising the training offerings to meet market demands and customer requirements.”

Participants’ learning success is ensured via modular and practice-oriented trainings that take place in modern, fully equipped training centres all over Germany. TÜV NORD Auditor Jörn Büßen confirms this, saying, “A very high level of customer orientation is recognised throughout the programmes, with individual services for the customers to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.”

Focus on user support

Certification for technical support focuses on employee skills and the defined processes and goals. The certification issued by the TÜV auditors establishes that the described procedures and processes have been verified and that the measures have been shown to be effective. Achim Kaspereit, Director Global Support at EPLAN, says, “Continuous improvement is an important component for certification and further supports our goal of ongoing optimisation in supporting our customers.” All the processes are transparently documented, from a user’s first contact with a support engineer through to the concluding solution of the customer issue, which guarantees consistent high quality. TÜV NORD Auditor Alexander Engel says, “There are flat, efficient and agile processes for solving problems. Other positives to be emphasised are the consistency of expertise in the team and the straightforward communication.”
