SPS IPC Drives 2016: Smart Engineering
EPLAN Software & Service will be presenting innovative solutions for more engineering efficiency at the SPS IPC Drives from 22 to 24 November.
EPLAN Software & Service will be presenting innovative solutions for more engineering efficiency at the SPS IPC Drives from 22 to 24 November. The core focus will once again be the House of Mechatronics and the introduction of Syngineer, a mechatronic communication and information platform. EPLAN Platform, Version 2.6, EPLAN Smart Wiring (for wiring control cabinets) and a sneak preview in the field of automation are some of the additional technical highlights. Numerous accompanying events offer the right programme for everyone, whether for users or upper-level management. Monheim, Germany, 7 November 2016 – Intelligent product development moving towards Industry 4.0 is getting serious, with data continuity in CAE, virtual 3D prototyping in control cabinet design and new trends in mechatronics representing just a few of the current key topics. At the SPC IPC Drives, EPLAN and its affiliate CIDEON will be presenting their House of Mechatronics, the convergence of mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Visitors will receive deep insights into Syngineer, a mechatronic communication and information platform being launched in spring 2017. With a space of about 320 square metres at its main stand in Hall 6, solutions provider EPLAN is presenting EPLAN Platform, Version 2.6 and the newest version of EPLAN Harness proD, an intuitive 3D/2D software that covers all of today’s requirements for wiring and wire harness engineering. The production specifications have been further refined to now include wiring drawings in addition to the nail board. Wire dimensioning is now automatic. If desired, wires with predefined length can easily be routed in an intuitive fashion. Cooperation between mechanical and electrical engineering becomes true teamwork with open interfaces. In addition, the eight fields of action in EPLAN Experience for optimising engineering processes will be part of the comprehensive trade show presentation.
Focus on future technologies
EPLAN will be taking part in “Automation Meets IT” in Hall 3A as well. Presentations at the joint stand with the companies Sick, Murrelektronik and 3S-Smart Software Solutions (CODESYS) include OPC UA technologies that support new workflows in engineering, commissioning and maintenance. Rittal’s stand in Hall 5 will also be offering comprehensive presentations, with demonstrating EPLAN Smart Wiring in practice. Users can experience the new simplicity in wiring that, in combination with EPLAN Pro Panel, ensures greater efficiency and error-free results.
Appropriate programmes for everyone
How do users achieve shorter turnaround times in electrical engineering? What are the challenges of generating standardised documentation? How does a virtual control cabinet contribute to integration in manufacturing? The answers to these and other questions will be answered in the daily, 90-minute accompanying event “Engineering 4.0 – EPLAN Best Practice für mehr Effizienz.” Visitors with less time on their hands can take a brief, 15-minute tour of the booth that presents an overview of how the increasing demands on engineering can ideally be implemented. Another highlight in Nuremberg are short presentations on the big screen of all the important new features and developments every hour.
Sneak Preview in Nuremberg
EPLAN will be lifting the veil on a groundbreaking solution for automated schematic design exclusively in Nuremberg. Trade show visitors can already register free of charge for the introductory event, taking place each day of the trade show at 1:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.
